Use these resource drops in your pixel art projects!

Ores, ingots, wood and stone: the materials every crafting, mining and RPG game needs, all in the same style.

What's included:

- 9 pixel art items and their spritesheets (transparent png) with their rotating animation: 24 frames, or 12 for symmetric items

- gold ore, iron ore, copper ore, coal, stone, wood log, gold ingots, iron ingot and a loot drop orb

- 3 sizes for each item: 16px, 32px & 64px!

- 2 angles for each item, for scroller (facing camera) & top-down (seen from above) games!

- 2 variants for each item, with & without outline, to match more art styles!

- 2 shades for each item, lit & unlit + 1 normal map, to use your own shading technique!

How to use

1. Download the zip with the button above and unzip it. Each item has its own folder.

2. Pick a sheet: <item>_<size>_<angle>_<outline>_<shade>.png, for example gold-ore_32px_top-down_outline_lit.png. Each sheet is one row of frames, every frame a square of its size (16, 32 or 64 px). Play them at 12 frames per second, looping.

3. Import it into your engine:

- Godot 4: import with Filter: Nearest (Project Settings → Rendering → Textures → Default Texture Filter). Add an AnimatedSprite2D, create SpriteFrames, click Add frames from sprite sheet, set Horizontal to the frame count (24, or 12 for the ingots and the orb) and Vertical to 1, select all, set 12 FPS and loop.

- Unity: Texture Type: Sprite (2D and UI), Sprite Mode: Multiple, Filter Mode: Point (no filter), Compression: None, Pixels Per Unit = the sheet's size. In the Sprite Editor: Slice → Grid By Cell Size (16, 32 or 64). Select the slices and drag them into the scene to make the animation; set it to 12 samples.

- GameMaker: Create Sprite → Import Strip Image, frame count 24 (or 12), size = the sheet's size, then set the sprite's speed to 12 frames per second.

- Aseprite: File → Import → Import Sprite Sheet, type Horizontal Strip, width and height = the sheet's size.

The normal maps (_normal.png) line up frame for frame with the sheets, for 2D lights (Godot CanvasTexture, Unity Secondary Textures → _NormalMap).

License: use these sprites in any number of projects, commercial or not, and change them as you like. Credit is appreciated but not required. You may not resell or redistribute the sprites as assets (on their own or in another asset pack), whether changed or not. Full terms in LICENSE.txt in the download.

You can directly include it in your game or use it as a framework to create new sprites!
